A candidate who wishes to enroll for the Master of Public Health (NQF Level 9 ) should comply with the following criteria:
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Public Health Honours or a qualification in Nursing, Medicine, Environmental Health, Nutrition, or the Social Sciences at NQF Level 8.
Provide two
letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with the applicant’s
academic or professional background, such as former faculty members,
employers, or supervisors in the public health sector.
At least one year
of relevant work experience in healthcare, public health, community
health, or a related field is preferred. Experience in areas such as
health promotion, epidemiology, health policy, or community development
will be an advantage. Practicing healthcare professionals (e.g., nurses,
medical doctors) may be required to submit proof of registration with the
relevant Namibian regulatory body, such as the Health Professions Council
of Namibia (HPCNA), if applicable to their profession.
