Registration

1. Why does Welwitchia University have two nursing intakes in a year?
We wish to update our stakeholders that Welwitchia University received a letter from the HPCNA on 13 December 2024, indicating that the HPCNA has withdrawn its directive issued on 1 October 2024 to allow for further consultation. Based on this, WU will continue with its Dual intake for nursing programmes until the HPCNA, as the regulator, advises otherwise. We value our partnership with all stakeholders and remain committed to upholding ethical standards by complying with all relevant laws and regulations.

2. Is Welwitchia University not offering the Certificate in Pharmacy during its September intake?
The Certificate in Pharmacy course will only be offered during the March 2026 intake.

3. How can I apply for the September intake?
Please apply via our website at www.wu.edu.na click on the Apply button in the top right hand corner and apply.

4. When will the Bachelor of Law Program open?
The Bachelor of Law Honours course will only be offered during the March 2026 intake.

5. What reference do new students use on the application fee proof of payment/deposit slip?
All students applying to WU must use their full name on the deposit slip or proof of payment of their application fee.

6. What are the registration fees for the specific programs?
Please consult our fees booklet on our website for any registration fee or tuition fee requests www.wu.edu.na .

7. If a student have 15 points in grade 11 and did an auxiliary nursing or care giver certificate, do they qualify to apply for the Bachelor of Nursing?
