WELWITCHIA UNIVERSITY LAUNCHES FIRST-EVER PHD PROGRAMMES AND EXPANDS POSTGRADUATE OFFERINGS FOR JANUARY 2027

Welwitchia University has reached a historic milestone with the introduction of its first-ever PhD programme offerings for the January 2027 intake.

The University will offer PhD programmes in Higher Education, Nursing Science, Occupational Health and Safety, and Public Health. Each programme will be offered over three years and delivered online, providing flexible opportunities for professionals, researchers and aspiring academic leaders to advance their studies while continuing to work.

Alongside the PhD launch, Welwitchia University is expanding its postgraduate offerings with new Master’s and Postgraduate Diploma programmes. The two-year Master’s programmes include Master of Education in Inclusive Education, Master of Education in Science Education, and Master of Social Work in Social Development.

The University will also offer one-year Level 8 Postgraduate Diploma programmes in Education (Science Education), Dispute Resolution, Telecommunications Policy and Regulation, and Assessment and Quality Assurance in Education and Training.

All programmes will be delivered online, making advanced education more accessible to students across Namibia and the wider region. The new offerings reflect Welwitchia University’s commitment to academic excellence, research, professional development and national development.
